Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and humorous animator/illustrator to bring our YouTube series to life with intentionally “poorly” drawn animations. Our series, “Why It Sucks to Be Born as a __,” explores why it would be terrible to be a mythical creature like a pegasus, phoenix, mermaid etc.

Responsibilities

Create low-detail, intentionally bad drawings that fit the comedic style of our videos. Compile the images into a full animated video (8-10 minutes long). Follow the provided script, voiceover, and sound effects to match the pacing of the video. Deliver animations on time and maintain consistency with our established visual style.

Requirements

Ability to draw in a simple, intentionally “bad” style (see reference images). Experience with 2D animation tools (Adobe Animate, After Effects, Toon Boom, or any software that gets the job done). Strong comedic timing and understanding of visual storytelling. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Experience in creating YouTube-style animations is a plus.
