Senior 2D Animator

Role Overview
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in bringing characters, creatures, and objects to life through the magic of animation. You will be part of a dynamic and creative team, collaborating closely with other artists, animators, and directors to create visually stunning and emotionally compelling animated content.
Expected Tasks
Use your expertise in animation principles and software proficiency (in Toon Boom Harmony) to craft expressive, fluid, and engaging character animations. Work with both rigged and hand-drawn animation techniques to achieve high-quality results. Mentor other animators in creative/technical procedures and workflows. Adhere to project timelines and production schedules while maintaining a commitment to delivering high-quality animations that align with the project’s artistic vision. Work closely with other departments, such as designers and riggers, to optimize character assets for animation and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during the animation process. Collaborate effectively with directors and fellow animators, actively participating in creative discussions and incorporating feedback into your work. Oversee the daily activities and capabilities of the animation team. Ensure all work follows studio policies and guidelines.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated ability as a character animator in Toon Boom Harmony. Minimum 5+ years of experience. Ability to animate in both rigged and hand-drawn styles. Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and performance. Ability to positively receive and implement constructive feedback to improve your skills and work. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment. A passion for animation and a drive to create memorable and emotionally resonant visual experiences.
