Job Role
Are you passionate about designing detailed and visually stunning weapons concepts for AAA games? We are currently seeking a skilled 2D Artist to join our team. As a 2D Artist you will contribute to the creation of high-quality assets that enhance the game’s realism and aesthetic appeal. Your primary responsibility will be designing and illustrating various weapon assets that align with our project and studio standards. With your creativity and keen eye for detail, you’ll craft visually compelling weaponry that enrich the gaming experience.
Responsibilities
Create detailed and high-quality weaponry assets that meet project and studio standardsBe ready to reskin 2D weapon assetsWork with Lead Artists to ensure timely completion of game assetsCommunicate regularly with the Lead Artist regarding the status of current tasksObtain Lead Artists guidance and approval as required to advance tasksContinue to refine artistic abilities and learn new software packages and/or in-house toolsCoordinate with Senior and/or Lead Artists with mentoring Junior 2D Artists as well as sharing best project practices
Requirements
Advanced knowledge of lighting, coloring, perspective and compositionAdvanced knowledge of Photoshop as well as some knowledge of 3D tools (Blender) and pipelineAbility to concept with a high degree of ideation utilizing techniques that enhance speed and revision workAdvanced knowledge of sketching/ illustration/speedpainting, and ability to concept weapons and vehiclesAbility to adapt artwork based on constructive feedbackSelf-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude
