Key Responsibilities
Design and create high-quality 3D character animations for use in Unreal Engine and other platforms.
Collaborate with character modelers, riggers, and designers to ensure animations integrate seamlessly into workflows.
Use animation tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or equivalent) to craft smooth, believable, and stylized character movements.
Implement animations in Unreal Engine, ensuring proper functionality with animation blueprints and state machines.
Optimize animations for performance without sacrificing quality.
Iterate on animations based on feedback from directors, designers, and playtesting.
Stay updated on the latest animation techniques, tools, and Unreal Engine advancements.
Requirements
Proven experience as a 3D Character Animator (portfolio or demo reel required).
Proficiency in Unreal Engine, including experience with animation pipelines (e.g., Animation Blueprints, Blendspaces, and Retargeting).
Expertise in at least one major animation tool (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, weight, posing, anticipation, etc.).
Ability to create both realistic and stylized character animations.
Experience with rigging and skinning is a plus.
Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet project deadlines.
