Job Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled 3D Artist with expertise in both animation and modelling. You will be a key part of our core creative team, involved in the entire production pipeline — from asset creation to animation. You will work closely with directors, environment artists, and technical staff to bring visually compelling and emotionally engaging stories to life.
Responsibilities
Modelling:
Design and build high-quality 3D models for characters, props, and environments.
Create clean, optimized topology suitable for rigging and animation.
UV unwrap and collaborate with texturing and rigging teams for production readiness.
Maintain consistency in style and scale across all modelled assets.
Responsibilities
Animation:
Animate characters, creatures, and objects using industry-standard practices.
Work closely with the director and storyboard team to block out and finalize key frame animations.
Apply principles of movement, timing, and physics to deliver believable and expressive performances.
Iterate on feedback and troubleshoot animation issues across scenes.
Responsibilities
General:
Maintain an organized workflow within a production pipeline.
Collaborate with other artists and technical staff for smooth integration of assets.
Contribute creatively during team discussions and storyboarding phases.
Stay up-to-date with current tools, trends, and techniques in 3D animation and modelling.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Game Art, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2–5 years of professional experience in 3D animation and/or modelling roles.
Proficient in industry-standard tools such as:
Autodesk Maya or Blender (modelling and animation)
ZBrush (for high-poly sculpting)
Substance Painter or Photoshop (basic texturing knowledge)
Strong understanding of:
Animation principles (timing, weight, squash & stretch, etc.)
Human and creature anatomy
Topology best practices for deformation
Experience working with or understanding of rigging systems is a plus.
Strong portfolio displaying both animation and modelling work.
Bonus Skills (Preferred, not required)
Basic knowledge of rigging or scripting (Python/MEL).
Experience in lighting/rendering.
Familiarity with Unreal Engine or Blender or Unity for real-time animation.
