Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level 3D Animator, Modeler & UI Designer to join our game development team on a part-time, contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing 3D models, animations, and user interface elements for our Unity-based game.
Responsibilities
3D Modeling: Create and refine 3D models for characters, props, environments, and other in-game assets. Ensure models are optimized for performance and compatible with the Unity engine. Collaborate with the art and development teams to maintain a consistent visual style.
3D Animation Creation: Develop and implement 3D animations for characters, objects, and environmental elements within Unity. Work closely with developers and designers to ensure smooth integration of animations into game mechanics.
UI Design and Implementation: Design, create, and refine user interface (UI) elements such as menus, buttons, icons, and overlays. Ensure UI components are visually appealing, intuitive, and consistent with the overall game aesthetic. Collaborate with team members to integrate UI designs into the game and adjust them based on feedback.
Collaboration & Iteration: Work alongside game designers, developers, and artists to iterate on asset design and functionality. Incorporate feedback and make timely adjustments to 3D models, animations, and UI elements. Ensure that all created assets are properly optimized and integrated within the Unity engine.
Qualifications
Technical Skills: Proficiency with 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender, Maya) for asset creation. Experience or familiarity with 3D animation techniques and tools. Basic understanding of the Unity game engine, including its animation system and UI creation tools. Knowledge of UI/UX design principles is a plus.
Portfolio: A portfolio or demo reel showcasing your work in 3D modeling, animation, and/or UI design is required.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a remote team. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about game development. Ability to manage time efficiently and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
Preferred (but not required): Basic understanding of texturing, UV mapping, rigging, or shader programming. Previous experience in mobile or PC game development environments.
Contract Details
Position: Part-time, contract-based. Work Arrangement: Remote work with flexible hours. Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and project scope. Duration: To be determined during the interview process, with the potential for future projects based on performance.
