Role Description
This is a contract remote role for a Mid to Senior Level 3D Pipe Designer at Castille Marine Services, LLC. The 3D Pipe Designer will be responsible for updating and completing Modeling/Routing all pipe, tubing, penetrations, pipe hangers, updating equipment models as VFI is finalized. All equipment shall be modeled smart with part attributes as defined unless otherwise directed by Shipyard. Designer shall be responsible for running clash detection checks in ShipConstructor (SSI) and resolve any interference issues prior to model completion.
Responsibilities
The designer shall have the ability to implement their own checking processes of the model. In addition, the model will be reviewed weekly by the shipyard and shipyard Human Systems Engineering (HSI) subcontractor in Navisworks., any comments will be reviewed and discussed on a weekly basis. The designer will help develop construction drawings which will be based on example drawings provided by shipyard. In addition to the development of construction drawings, the designer will develop Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) as per shipyards format. Up to 45hrs/per week

ShipConstructor (SSI) 3D Design and 3D Modeling skills Experience in Mechanical Piping DesignProficiency in relevant software toolsAbility to work independently and remotelyStrong attention to detailExperience in marine or related industries is a plusAssociate’s degree in design preferred, but not required
