Position Summary

We are seeking an artistic Designer with 1-5 years of experience and a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our award-winning design team where we partner with some of the largest beverage brands in the world designing one-of-a-kind tap handles and other custom draft solutions.

Role Highlights

Our design-to-delivery cycle is short, and you will see your work hit the market in a matter of months. A successful candidate will contribute to and assist in bringing beverage brands to life from concept ideation through design sign-off.

Responsibilities/Opportunities

Collaborate directly with customers to understand their design requirementsInterpret initial ideas and create quick thumbnail sketches for reviewDevelop and present design concepts to customers or stakeholdersProduce high quality hand sketched analog and digital renderingsRefine design work based on customer feedbackDevelop an understanding of our broad manufacturing capabilities such as: metal machining, wood working, urethane casting, die-casting, injection-molding, electroplating, powder coating, 3D printing, artwork decorationKeeping up-to-date with the latest design trends and advancements in design technologyOpportunity to work in a positive, supportive and respectful creative work environmentWinning! Our talented team of designers participates in design competitions where they are recognized professionally for their unique and innovative design work

Skills

Excellent hand sketching abilities for rapid thumbnail concept generationExcellent verbal and visual communication skillsProficiency with Adobe SuiteWorking knowledge of Blender, ZBrush or Rhino3D a plus

Requirements

A portfolio of work demonstrating strong illustrative design (character design a plus)Willingness and interest to collaborate directly with customersAbility to deliver high-quality artwork against tight deadlinesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyWillingness to relocate to Austin (if outside)
