Position Overview

We are looking for experienced and highly skilled artists to create photorealistic 3D vehicles for AAA game projects. This is a short-term contract lasting up to 3 months.

Job Requirements

If you are able to accurately replicate a form using a photo reference, pay attention to details, work well in a team, and most importantly, have a passion for vehicles, then this position is perfect for you!

Superpowers You Have

Ability to create models according to drawings, technical documentation, photos, and CAD models; Strong experience in modeling, a good understanding of polygonal shading within 3Ds Max and Maya; Knowledge of pipelines for low- and mid-poly models creation; Ability to create high-quality UV mapping; High-grade knowledge of SubD modeling and texture baking (Normal, AO, etc.); Good understanding of PBR pipelines for texturing (Metal/Rough, Spec/Gloss); Solid knowledge of Photoshop and Substance Painter; Strict adherence to guidelines, and technical requirements of the project; Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset to work in dynamic, creative environments.

You’re a Rockstar if You Have

Knowledge of photogrammetry software (SynthEyes, 3DS Max Camera Match, ImageModeler, PfTrack, etc.); High-Poly sculpting in Zbrush; Basic knowledge of animation in 3Ds Max and Maya; Knowledge of game engines (UnrealEngine 4, Unity, etc.); Basic knowledge of Quixel, Marmoset Toolbag, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW; Ability to work with vector 3D objects (Splines, Nurbs, etc.); Technical education; Intermediate+ English level (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities at Room 8 Studio

Create quality low-poly and mid-poly models according to drawings, technical documentation, photos, and CAD models; Create high-poly models for normal maps baking; Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking in accordance with the requirements of the task; Make final assembling following the requirements (scenes, files, naming, etc.); Research new programs and techniques that appear on the market.
