Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated 3D Designer to join our creative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in bringing our products to life in a dynamic and visually compelling way for our e-commerce platform. You will be responsible for creating realistic and engaging 3D models and renders that showcase our products from all angles, enhancing the customer experience and driving sales.
Responsibilities
Create high-quality, photo-realistic 3D models and renders of products for use on our e-commerce website, marketing materials, and social media. Develop and apply textures, materials, and lighting to 3D models to achieve a realistic and appealing aesthetic. Work closely with the product development, marketing, and photography teams to understand product features and ensure accurate visual representation. Optimize 3D assets for web and mobile performance, ensuring fast loading times without compromising visual quality. Experiment with different rendering techniques and styles to continually improve visual fidelity and engagement. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in 3D design, rendering, and e-commerce visualization. Manage and organize 3D asset libraries, ensuring efficient access and version control. Contribute to the development of visual guidelines and standards for 3D product representation. Potentially assist with 3D animation or augmented reality (AR) experiences for product visualization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in 3D Design, Animation, Industrial Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of experience in 3D modeling, rendering, and texturing, preferably within an e-commerce, product visualization, or advertising environment. Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software such as: Blender, Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D Substance Painter/Designer, ZBrush (for sculpting, if applicable) V-Ray, OctaneRender, Redshift, or similar rendering engines. Strong understanding of lighting principles, material properties, and rendering techniques. Excellent eye for detail, composition, and aesthetics. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A compelling portfolio demonstrating strong 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering skills, specifically with product visualization examples.
