Contract Hybrid Role: Freelance Storyboard Artist
Inthemoment Productions is seeking a talented and imaginative Freelance Storyboard Artist to bring our visual narratives to life. This hybrid role, based in Cambridge, ON (with some work-from-home flexibility), will be pivotal in visualizing our projects from concept to creation. As our Storyboard Artist, you will be responsible for translating scripts and ideas into compelling visual storyboards, contributing to 2D animations, and occasionally lending your skills to concept art. This role offers the opportunity to shape the visual direction of diverse video projects.
Responsibilities
Create clear and engaging visual storyboards that effectively communicate the narrative flow and key shots. Contribute to 2D animation projects through visual planning and potentially asset creation. Develop concept art to explore visual styles and elements for upcoming productions. Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other creative team members.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in Storyboarding and strong Drawing skills. Experience with 2D Animation and a foundational understanding of broader Animation principles. Ability to create compelling Concept Art. Background in Graphic Design or Visual Arts is highly valued. Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop). Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management abilities. Excellent collaboration and communication skills within a team environment. A strong portfolio that clearly demonstrates your storyboarding, illustration, and visual storytelling capabilities.
