Job Description
We are seeking a skilled 3D animator or forensic video specialist to create a high-fidelity, immersive 3D recreation of the 5–10 seconds leading up to a vehicle accident at an intersection. This will be used both for traditional video review and interactive viewing on immersive glasses (AR/VR headsets) for legal presentation and courtroom use.
Project Scope
Create a realistic 3D recreation of the moments before impact from:
– Vehicle A’s POV (Defendant)
– Vehicle B’s POV
– Neutral perspectives such as overhead drone-style, intersection corner, or a potential bystander view
Optimization for Immersive Playback
Optimize the project for immersive playback, compatible with:
– Apple Vision Pro (preferred format: USDZ/Reality Composer or Unity-based)
– Meta Quest (Unity or WebXR)
– Microsoft HoloLens (Unity/MRTK)
Allow for spatial walkthrough or observation, enabling users to experience the event from different angles in 3D space.
Sync vehicle speeds and positions with the provided event data recorder logs.
Use available real video footage and intersection mapping for environmental realism (buildings, road layout, weather, lighting).
You Will Be Provided With
– Detailed vehicle telemetry (speed, timing, acceleration)
– Surveillance or dashcam video footage
– Aerial images/maps of the intersection
– Notes on conditions (e.g., weather, lighting, obstructions)
Ideal Candidate
– Expertise in 3D modeling and animation with experience in AR/VR/XR applications
– Familiarity with Unity, Unreal Engine, Reality Composer, Blender, or other immersive content creation tools
– Experience in legal or forensic reconstructions is a plus
– Ability to export to USDZ, FBX, GLB, or Unity package formats as needed
– Strong focus on accuracy, realism, and usability in immersive environments
Deliverables
– A rendered HD video (multiple fixed-viewpoints)
– An interactive 3D experience ready for AR headset viewing
– Exported assets in formats compatible with Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, or HoloLens
– Source files and documentation (if needed for edits or integration)
