Animation Designer
Role Description
We’re seeking a creative Animation Designer with strong front-end development skills to help transform a website and app platform we are building with engaging, playful animations. This role will be instrumental in creating a brand experience that balances sophistication with approachability.
Requirements
Animation Expertise: Proven experience creating character animations and interactive UI elements using Rive, Lottie, GSAP, or similar technologies
Character Design: Portfolio demonstrating mascot/character design and animation that appeals across age groups
Technical Skills: Strong JavaScript fundamentals and experience with React or other modern frameworks
Clean & Intuitive UX: Ability to create clean, minimalist interfaces enhanced with purposeful, playful animations
Responsive Design: Ensure animations and interactions work flawlessly across devices
Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience with Rive for creating interactive animations that respond to user input
Understanding of educational or youth-focused digital products
Ability to create animations that enhance rather than distract from core functionality
Experience creating animation style guides and animation design systems
