We’re Hiring an Art Lead / Art Director!
Digital Sun is a standout studio in the indie game world. With Moonlighter, The Mageseeker, and Cataclismo behind us, and new ambitious projects like Moonlighter 2 underway. We’re on the hunt for a talented Art Lead or Art Director to help shape the visual identity of our next games.
Location
We’re based in Valencia, Spain 🌞 and looking for someone ready to guide our amazing team of artists while also getting hands-on with high-level art creation.
What You’ll Bring
✅ 5+ years of experience in the games industry, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or director role. A strong portfolio with high-quality personal work and leadership over a consistent visual style. Experience working across multiple art disciplines (2D, 3D, UI, etc.). Excellent communication skills with both artists and non-artists. Familiarity with Unity or Unreal Engine. A proven track record of delivering games with a cohesive visual identity.
Bonus Points For
✨ Hands-on skills in both 2D and 3D art. Experience working with freelancers or outsourcing partners. Knowledge of game art pipelines, tools, and workflows. Experience with shaders, lighting, VFX, or technical art. Background in agile production. Being part of a full game cycle, from early concept to post-launch.
