At Spellfusion, we strive to create captivating indie games by merging the tried and trusted with the innovative and new. We’re looking for a concept artist based in Germany, and ideally enrolled as a university or college student to support our latest project, Nether Spirits. While we’re searching for someone who feels comfortable designing card images in particular, all art/design students are welcome to apply.
Project Description
Nether Spirits is a rogue-like deckbuilder set in a mystical realm known as The Nether, a place where fractured souls fight tooth and nail to reach their goal: a pillar of blue light said to make them whole again.
Internship Duration
The internship will last three months, or longer if it’s a mandatory internship.
Tasks
Bring the mystical world of Nether Spirits to live
Create 2D sketches for card images depicting objects, spells, characters & creatures
Requirements
You live in Germany, or are willing to move to Germany for the duration of the internship
You’re currently enrolled for a bachelor’s or master’s degree or in other ways qualify for an voluntary internship
You’re skilled in creating 2D concept art for objects, spells, environments, characters and/or creatures (please tell us about your strengths & weaknesses — what do you feel most comfortable drawing? Where do you have a lot or a lack of experience?)
You’re able to work in a team and incorporate feedback into your design process
You’re fluent in either German or English
