Job Description
An illustrator is needed to create a political cartoon featuring recognizable public figures, styled similarly to those found on the RealClearPolitics cartoons page. This project requires a strong grasp of political caricature, visual satire, and the ability to convey complex ideas with clarity and humor. The successful illustrator will be expected to accurately capture the likeness of specific politicians and deliver a polished final image. This is a one-time assignment for a political blogger, with the potential for additional work in the future. The work is fully remote and will be discussed further upon selection.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in political or editorial cartooning
Strong ability to draw accurate and expressive caricatures of public figures
Portfolio that includes comparable work, ideally in the style of RealClearPolitics cartoons
Proficiency in digital illustration tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Clip Studio Paint
Ability to work remotely and deliver high-resolution artwork in digital format
Capacity to interpret brief political commentary into a compelling visual narrative
Open to short timelines and rapid turnaround when required
