Now, we’re excited to announce our expansion into Melbourne, Australia. This ‘Innovation Hub’ will pioneer new, experimental games in the casual genre, acting as a startup within the wider Tripledot Studios environment, you’ll be part of creating a hotbed for new, innovative casual games.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Artist to be a vital part of our Innovation Hub located in the heart of Melbourne.

As the Lead Artist in our Innovation Hub, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the artistic vision of our new, exciting games, translating unique concepts into stunning visual experiences.

This role is a compelling mix of artistic brilliance, collaborative teamwork, and innovative thinking.

You’ll work alongside our Chief Product Officer, and a small and multidisciplinary team in a dynamic, collaborative environment where your collective expertise and leadership will truly shine.

The Innovation Hub will work alongside other locations and studios in order to build a healthy pipeline of new and exciting games to the market, which you’ll take through to soft launch.

Key Responsibilities

Artistic Visionary: Define and drive the overall artistic direction for exciting, new gaming projects, translating these visions into playable reality.

Collaborative Leader: Work closely alongside your cross-functional team, to lead our Melbourne team to success, ensuring close collaboration with other Project Art Leads and external studios, using your expertise to facilitate their journey to game development triumph.

Hands-On Production Oversight: Take an active role in art production, ensuring milestones are met, quality standards are upheld, and that the artistic vision is successfully translated to our games.

Mentorship: Foster a vibrant learning environment within the art team, facilitating their artistic growth and development, whether they’re internal staff or outsourced collaborators.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Lead Experience: Proven track record as a Lead Artist, preferably within the games industry.

Unity Savvy: Exhibit a deep understanding of art development pipelines, particularly those related to Unity.

Industry Savvy: Knowledge and understanding of F2P games in the casual and hyper-casual genres.

UI: Good all round game artist, but truly excelling in UI.

Art Style Connoisseur: Familiarity with western art style for casual mobile games, especially aimed at a female audience.

Agility: Comfortable with a start-up environment and the flexibility to dive into different areas of game development.
