🏢 Company: Xolbor Roblox Games
🇳🇱 Location: Netherlands
🌎 Work Model: On-Site
Company Overview
We’re Xolbor — a small game studio in Utrecht that makes games on Roblox! We work on both our own ideas and branded projects for companies and media platforms. In this role, you’ll be working on branded games within the company, helping to translate a brand into a game that works well in Roblox!
Role Description
Together with the game designer and lead programmer, you’ll think about how the game should play and how the visuals can support that. You’ll help define the art-style, make assets in Blender, and check that things are working as they should.
Team Environment
We work closely as a team. Everyone’s involved in the creative process, and we like to keep communication open. You’ll be giving feedback to other artists, thinking along on design decisions, and helping to keep things moving on the visual side.
Responsibilities
Help shape the visual direction for new and ongoing projects. Create 3D assets in Blender and prepare them for use in Roblox. Give feedback to other artists on both style and technical quality. Translate brand guidelines into visuals that work in Roblox. Work with the team to make sure visuals and gameplay match up. Keep an overview of the art side of the project and manage deadlines.
Qualifications
Experience with Blender and a portfolio that shows your work. You’re comfortable leading visually, but also like working hands-on. Experience with Roblox Studio or willing to learn about Roblox. You know how to keep assets clean and performant. You enjoy working together and giving useful feedback.
Nice to Have
Experience working on branded or client-based projects. Familiarity with stylized/low poly art. Comfortable working in an iterative way (e.g. giving/receiving feedback regularly). Experience with scrum and agile workflows.
Benefits
Projects for well-known brands, where you help bring ideas to life on Roblox. A small team where everyone’s input is taken seriously. Clear communication, short feedback loops, and room to improve as you go. A studio in Utrecht where we work together on-site, with space to focus and create.
