Summary of the opportunity
Role Summary: As a Mid/Senior Level Cinematic Lighting Artist, you will be responsible for crafting compelling lighting for cinematic cutscenes, collaborating with other departments to solve visual and technical challenges, and ensuring the emotional beats of the game’s narrative are conveyed through lighting.
Responsibilities and Duties
– Create compelling and performative lighting for cinematic cutscenes. – Collaborate with other departments to address visual and technical challenges. – Utilize existing level light and concept art to achieve art direction targets. – Craft lighting to convey emotional story beats and propel the game’s narrative. – Communicate professionally with supervisors and colleagues.
MUST-Have Skills and Qualifications
– Strong eye for lighting in games/VFX or Animated Features. – Experience taking shots from lighting blocking to final polish. – Knowledge of cinematography/photography concepts. – Experience with Unreal Engine 5 or comparable 3D authoring software.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
– Proactive attitude and strong time management skills. – Ability to problem solve creatively.
