We’re looking to hire a mid-level Motion Designer for a global consumer tech company.
Role Overview
Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic and collaborative Motion Designer to enhance their first-party app experience. This role is pivotal in crafting captivating video content that elevates user interaction. You will work closely with design, product, and engineering teams, leveraging your expertise in UX/UI animation and production.
Contract Details
This is a full-time 7-12 month contract opportunity. The role is located in Los Angeles, CA and is hybrid onsite 3 days/week. The application deadline for this position is Thursday, May 15th, 2025.
Responsibilities
Develop and produce high-quality motion graphics and animations for in-app experiences, videos, and marketing materials. Partner with UX/UI designers to create animations that improve usability and engage users. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure creative consistency and technical precision. Define and uphold animation pipelines and best practices. Contribute to the creative process through ideation, storyboarding, prototyping, and post-production editing. Investigate and suggest new tools and plugins to enhance workflow and output quality.
Requirements
3-5 years of professional experience in motion design, animation, or video production. Strong foundation in UX/UI animation and interaction design principles. Proficient in After Effects, including compositing and plugin usage. Skilled in video editing, typography, and storytelling. Familiar with production pipelines and asset management. Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, iterative environment. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and creative problem-solving abilities. A bachelor’s degree in Design, Motion Graphics, Animation, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
