At Stomble we’re an exciting startup looking for a highly experienced Graphic Designer to join our team. We are a small startup bootstrapping our way forward with a group of eager engineers and designers already with a high level of ambition to build and deliver our MVP product to the world. Our mission at Stomble, is to use innovative technologies to increase economic opportunity. We’re looking for a highly skilled designer who is willing to join and/or help a small scrappy startup, with working class knowledge and the ability to tackle all problems head-on. We are designing a data analytics infrastructure that is powered by AI.

We are opening ourselves up to someone willing donate their time, knowledge and skills to help us learn, grow and develop our incredible product from an idea into a competitive platform. We are also looking for an awesome graphics designer who can assist our efforts in designing and building our website to look professional, clean and sleek.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement animations for landing page elements, including icons, transitions, text blocks, and illustrations. Ensure smooth, cohesive, and on-brand motion design that enhances the user experience. Prepare animations optimised for web use (e.g., Lottie, GIFs, or WebGL). Collaborate closely with the web designer and developer to integrate animations seamlessly. Design and drawing designs using Illustrator. Working alongside our designer and engineers to do illustration and or moving animations.

The successful candidates will have

An intrinsic motivation to continuously learn and fill any gaps in their skills. Openness and willingness to think of innovative solutions to solve challenging technical problems. Ability to work with a variety of different disciplines and teams by clearly communicating issues, problems and solutions. Understanding of timeframes, deadlines and estimations of a given feature. Great communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. At least 1 year of experience as a Motion Designer, particularly with web animations. Proficiency in After Effects, Figma (for importing designs), and tools like LottieFiles or Bodymovin for exporting animations. Solid understanding of UX/UI principles to create user-friendly animations. Proficient in Illustrator. Ability to adapt animations for different devices and screen resolutions. Strong attention to detail, a creative mindset, and the ability to deliver visually captivating animations.

Limitations of the position

Position is fully remote. This role is unpaid unfortunately. We are unable to sponsor applicants at this time. Must be located in Australia.
