Job Description
We are seeking a talented 2D Pixel Art Tileset Artist to create visually appealing and versatile tilesets for our procedurally generated game stages. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pixel art aesthetics and experience in creating tiles that can seamlessly blend together.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for designing various environmental elements, ensuring they are optimized for performance.
Game Description
The game is a top down, 2D Action RPG with a visual aesthetic in the vein of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy on the PlayStation and SNES.
Project Requirements
We need 9 tile sets for each of the 9 stages in the game. Each tile set will be composed of 40 tiles. Some tiles will need to be animated (ie, water, lava, perhaps some grass blowing on some tiles).
Compensation
We will pay $400 per completed tile set of 40 tiles. We may also need prop sprites for some stages (trees, boxes/crates, plants, torches, lanterns, etc, etc), which we can pay in addition to the $400 for tile sets.
Additional Skills
While not a requirement, experience in creating Normal Maps out of sprites/tile sets is a plus, as we plan on adding a lighting system to the game. Experience working in Unity is also a plus!
