Senior Environment Concept Artist
A well-funded, creatively ambitious studio is seeking a Senior Concept Artist to help shape the visual identity of a stylized game project currently in development. This role focuses on world-building, from environmental storytelling to object and prop design and offers an opportunity to define and maintain the artistic quality and consistency of the project’s look and feel.
Key Responsibilities
Create original environment and prop concepts that align with the project’s visual direction and gameplay needs.
Contribute to defining the game’s overall art style, including style guides and mood boards.
Work closely with the art team and directors to ensure visual coherence and elevate artistic quality across the board.
Continuously iterate and polish concepts based on feedback and evolving creative goals.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in a game development or animation environment, with strong fundamentals in design, composition, and colour.
Skilled in stylized visual design, with a personal affinity for imaginative, character-rich worlds.
Strong creative instincts and a passion for world-building through visual storytelling.
Excellent team communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
A love for Western animated features (e.g. inspired by visual styles from major studios).
Experience refining production artwork and contributing to polish phases.
A portfolio that demonstrates both ideation and finished concept work in a stylized art direction.
