Job Description
As part of the Steer studios team, you will work alongside the best global gaming talents who have relocated to Riyadh to be part of the ambitious group, and innovative, passionate, and hardworking Saudis. Steer Studios is looking for a Sr. Technical Artist, you will be going through an iterative, hands-on process of helping us shape the product as you bring our new projects from concept to playability. Use the best resources and tools to challenge the platform limitations faced by the project, you will be the gatekeeper for tech art constraints, always pushing for top quality and best possible performances. Key Responsibilities
Integrate 3D assets, VFX, and animations following the art direction and style established for the project. Develop solutions for assets integration based on project/task specifications and needs. Debug in-game performance, and setup constraints without compromising visual quality. Continuously deliver, learn and iterate on our product. Actively collaborate with the programming and game design teams in the implementation process to ensure optimal use of polygons, shaders, and textures for mobile games. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Key Skills
At least 3 years of experience as Technical Artist or similar positions. Very good understanding of game engines (Unity Preferred). Knowledge of shaders creation for mobile. Implementing 2D and 3D assets into Unity. Understanding of art pipelines and optimization techniques. Knowledge of Lighting and Rendering. Experience with 2D and 3D tools (Photoshop, Maya, Blender). Knowledge of VFX creation would be appreciated. Be autonomous and proactive. Able to communicate and work in English.
