Job Overview

As our Technical Designer, you will be the bridge between design vision and finished product. You will collaborate closely with designers and product development teams to ensure the accurate and efficient execution of our designs, from concept to production. Your expertise in technical drawing, garment construction, and material specifications will be essential to our success.

Responsibilities: Tech Pack Creation & Updates

Develop and maintain detailed tech packs, including:Technical drawings (flats, callouts, and construction details)Bill of Materials (BOM) with accurate component specificationsColorways and material specificationsSize charts and grading informationConstruction details and sewing instructionsPackaging and labeling information

Responsibilities: Collaboration

Partner with designers and product development teams to ensure design feasibility and accurate execution.

Responsibilities: File Management

Maintain organized digital files and libraries of tech packs and related assets.

Responsibilities: Sample Review

Review and approve pre-production samples for accuracy against tech pack specifications.

Responsibilities: Style Guide Development

Assist in the development of style guides and brand standards related to tech pack creation.

Responsibilities: Industry Knowledge

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in tech pack development.

Responsibilities: Process Improvement

Contribute to process improvements and efficiency within the production art department.

Responsibilities: Other Duties

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Production Art, or a related field preferred.3+ years of proven experience creating and managing apparel tech packs (portfolio required). Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and sewing techniques.Knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes and materials.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience with PLM software is a plus.

Bonus Points

Experience with specific apparel categories (e.g., sportswear, knitwear, denim).Knowledge of textile science and testing.Familiarity with international sizing standards.
