What you can expect:

Technical Decision-Making: You will establish standards and best practices for visual and technical implementation in Unreal Engine and provide guidance on creative and technical challenges, particularly in real-time rendering workflows.

Optimization of Unreal Projects: You will develop and adjust shaders, materials, rigs, and blueprints for visual effects while ensuring performance optimization (e.g., LODs, lighting, asset budgets).

Pipeline & Tool Development: In collaboration with Pipeline TDs and developers, you will improve tools and workflows for artists and implement technical solutions within Unreal Engine.

Asset Integration: You will ensure the seamless integration of 3D assets (models, animations, textures) into Unreal projects and verify their compatibility with technical requirements.

Debugging & Troubleshooting: You will analyze and resolve technical issues such as shader errors, performance bottlenecks, and rendering problems while collaborating with other departments to overcome complex pipeline challenges.

Technical Support for Artists: You will assist artists in realizing creative ideas while maintaining technical feasibility and provide solutions to challenges in the production process.

Unreal Engine Real-Time Rendering & VFX: You will develop and implement real-time visual effects, lighting, and post-processing solutions to achieve high-quality visual output.

Innovation & Development: You will stay up to date with new Unreal Engine features and technologies, introducing innovative approaches to maximize visual quality and efficiency.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: You will create technical documentation, style guides, and train the team on new tools, workflows, and Unreal Engine features.

What we expect from you:

Unreal Engine Expertise: You have extensive experience in Unreal Engine, specifically in Blueprints and tool development.

Automotive Industry Experience: You have a background in the automotive industry, which is a strong plus.

Technical Problem-Solving: You possess strong analytical skills and can troubleshoot complex technical issues within the production pipeline.

Tool Development & Automation: You have experience in developing custom tools and automating workflows within Unreal Engine.

Collaborative Mindset: You have excellent communication and teamwork skills and a proactive approach.

Language Skills: You are fluent in English (spoken and written); German language skills are a plus.

Continuous Learning: You are eager to learn new systems and share knowledge with the team. (e.g., USD workflows, ControlRig, Familiarity with C++ and Python).

Procedural Workflows: You are familiar with Houdini and procedural asset generation, optimizing content for real-time applications.

3D Software Knowledge: Familiarity with tools such as Maya or Blender.
