If you are an experienced watercolor artist or a hobbyist looking for a flexible and fun side hustle, this is the job for you! Mandy Berry Fine Art specializes in unique art entertainment for events and weddings. One of the services we offer is painting portraits of guests live with watercolor.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate is friendly, punctual, works well under pressure, and can interact with guests in a warm manner throughout the event as they paint their portraits. We are looking for someone skilled in figure drawing and at least willing to learn and practice watercolor techniques if they don’t already know how to paint with watercolor.
Compensation and Scheduling
This is paid contract work and starts at $30 per hour. Events usually last about 2-6 hours but you will always be paid an event minimum of $100 no matter how many hours it is. Opportunities for work will most often be on the weekend but occasional during weekdays or nights. Preferably, watercolor artists are local to the Nashville area and willing to travel if necessary.
Additional Information
Starting rate would be $30 per hour. If you are working an event by yourself you are welcome to keep any tips you receive. No college degree is required but examples of relevant work and a painting test will be requested before you are considered for the position.
