Job Description

The Production Artist must have a comprehensive understanding of the print production process and packaging structures. The role of the Production Artist at THR3D is a bridge between 2D print and 3D CGI. The skill set must include a high level of the Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop applications. A solid understanding of print production techniques in order to take existing production art files and break them apart for 3D production. As part of a team, the Production Artist will work closely with Producers, Modelers, and Lighters to provide the necessary 2D files for CGI production use. Apart from the daily need for CGI support the ability to create vector art for 3D Displacement maps is a requirement of the position.

Job Responsibilities

Understand the structure of a pre-press file, color space, and requirements necessary for successful results. Attends any client meetings (e.g. pre-production) as necessary. Ensures accurate, consistent, and timely completion of high quality basic to intermediate or complex level Artwork, effectively using industry standard software, tools, and Print techniques. Create simple/basic 2D and/or 3D renders. Meet quality standards for assigned deliverables and makes recommendations to Management for improvements in reports, tools, processes and assigned tasks. Works well in a dynamic, speed-to-market focused team environment with a minimum supervisionAbility to prioritize workload, proactively seek answers to questions, and meet assigned deadlinesCreate strong and effective internal partnerships, and collaborate across clients Make recommendations to Management for improvements in reports, tools, processes, and assigned tasks.

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job. Associates or Bachelors Degree in appropriate disciplines such as Graphic Arts, Marketing, Advertising, Interior Design or other related fields such as fine arts or fashion preferred. Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $60,000 – $65,000 annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
