Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and enthusiastic 3D Artist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity of our games, crafting breathtaking 3D assets that immerse players in captivating worlds. From compelling characters and intricate environments to detailed props and sleek vehicles, your artistic vision and technical expertise will be crucial in bringing our creative concepts to life. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop high-quality 3D models and textures for a variety of game assets, including:
Stylized environments (landscapes, architecture, interiors)
Believable and engaging characters (humanoid, creatures, etc.)
Functional and visually appealing props (items, tools, interactables)
Distinctive vehicles (cars, aircraft, fantasy vehicles)
Utilize in-house custom shaders effectively to achieve desired visual styles and material properties.
Work closely and iteratively with Design Leads to understand the artistic vision and functional requirements of assets.
Work closely and iteratively with Game Designers to ensure assets support gameplay mechanics and narrative.
Work closely and iteratively with Project Managers to adhere to timelines and production schedules.
Work closely and iteratively with Cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Technical Art) to ensure seamless asset integration and optimization.
Ensure all created assets consistently align with established art style guidelines and contribute to the overall visual language of our projects.
Assemble and package 3D assets within the Unity game engine, ensuring proper setup for team collaboration and efficient workflow.
Maintain a strong focus on performance and memory efficiency of all assets, employing appropriate techniques (e.g., polycount reduction, texture atlasing, LODs) to meet technical constraints for mobile platforms without sacrificing visual fidelity.
Maintain clear and organized documentation of asset creation processes and technical specifications.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and software advancements in 3D art and game development.
Actively participate in art reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and incorporating feedback into your own work.
Required Skills & Experience
Expertise in industry-standard 3D software such as Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Substance Painter & Designer, and ZBrush or similar tools.
Hands-on experience with Unity, including asset integration and scene assembly.
Strong understanding of form, color, and texture, with the ability to create stylized assets that enhance gameplay and storytelling.
Familiarity with real-time rendering constraints and optimization techniques for mobile platforms.
Previous experience working on open-world games, understanding the challenges and requirements of large-scale environments.
A passion for mobile free-to-play games, with a deep understanding of player expectations and market trends.
Achievement of Max Level in one of our games, demonstrating familiarity with our products and player experience.
Ability to critically analyze top games, identifying strengths and weaknesses to inform asset creation and game design.
