Duties and Responsibilities

1. Concept Development:
– Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and project managers to develop innovative design concepts for various spaces, including commercial, residential, and hospitality environments.
– Translate initial ideas and rough sketches into detailed 3D models that reflect design intent.

3D Modeling

– Create highly detailed 3D models of interior spaces, furniture, fixtures, and finishes using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino, 3ds Max, or Revit.
– Ensure models are accurate and adhere to project specifications, dimensions, and design standards.

Visual Presentation

– Produce photorealistic renderings and walkthrough animations to effectively present designs to clients and stakeholders.
– Utilize tools like V-Ray or Lumion for high-quality visual outputs that clearly communicate design concepts.

Material and Finishing Selection

– Collaborate with design teams to select appropriate materials, colors, textures, and finishes for the project.
– Integrate realistic textures and lighting effects into 3D models to simulate real-world appearances.

Space Planning

– Assist in space planning and layout optimization, ensuring that designs are functional, aesthetic, and comply with regulations.
– Evaluate and adjust designs based on space limitations and functional requirements.

Client Interaction

– Meet with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for fit-out projects.
– Present design solutions using 3D visuals and models, incorporating client feedback into iterations of designs.

Collaboration with Teams

– Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design feasibility and consistency during all project phases.
– Participate in project meetings to provide updates on design progress and discuss any challenges.

Documentation

– Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and specifications that accompany visual models.
– Maintain organized documentation of design revisions, materials, and processes for future reference.

Staying Current

– Keep abreast of emerging trends, materials, technologies, and advancements in the field of design and visualization.
– Attend workshops, webinars, and industry conferences to expand skill set and knowledge base.

Problem Solving

– Identify design constraints and propose alternative solutions to maintain project objectives and timelines.

Skills and Qualifications

– Educational Background: A degree in interior design, architecture, industrial design, or a related field is often required.
– Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D modeling software (such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3ds Max, or Revit) and rendering engines (like V-Ray, Lumion).
