Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced 3D Motion Designer with experience in Houdini and Redshift to deliver creatively brilliant motion design and animation projects across a wide variety of digital and social platforms. Collaboration and Responsibilities
Our motion designers work collaboratively with producers, designers, and animators to deliver projects from concept to completion, as well as providing inspiration and technical expertise across the business. As part of our market-leading film and animation team, our motion designers work across a variety of 2D and 3D projects, exceeding client expectations by delivering quality work, every time.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: Working closely with Directors, Designers, Animators, and Producers to provide hands-on 3D Motion Design and Animation with conceptual flare, and the ability to deliver across a range of platforms and visual styles. To work as part of the team to explore briefs and to develop creative concepts that align with client objectives and brand guidelines. Contribute to the development, preparation and delivery of creative proposals and pitches, generating style frames, storyboards, and motion tests.
Team Collaboration
To work closely with creative teams to deliver creative programmes or projects as a team member, but also with initiative and autonomy to carry a project forward. Work on several projects at once, working with other members of the RY team and specialist partners and freelance staff. To encourage and support other members of the RY team in their understanding and use of Motion Design and Animation and to work with them as appropriate.
Requirements
Previous experience in a Creative 3D motion design role with a deep creative and technical understanding of the 3D design process, including composition, colour, lighting, materials, and motion. Advanced level of creative and technical experience with Houdini and Redshift, bringing a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Technical Skills
Experience with Cinema 4D and X Particles is desirable. Proficient technical knowledge of the Adobe Suite, especially After Effects. Experience of CG compositing (AE) and good understanding of general postproduction processes. Keep up to date with latest visual trends and developments in the Motion Design and Animation industry.
