3D Technical Artist [ Intern I Freelancer | Contractor ] – Blender ( Remote ) Company Overview: Bigwing Venturetech is offering an exciting opportunity for a 3D Technical Artist to join our team as an intern/freelancer. We are seeking an individual with good experience using Blender to generate 3D hard surface vehicle game assets for game development, modelling, simulation & training applications. This internship/freelancer contract provides a unique chance to contribute to real-world projects and gain valuable hands-on commercial experience. Position Overview: As a 3D Technical Artist Intern/freelancer at Bigwing Venturetech, you will play a pivotal role in our IT Special Projects Team, contributing to the development of 3D hard surface vehicle game assets for projects spanning Game Development, Modelling, Simulation, and Training. This internship/freelance contract offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic intersection of venture capital acumen and cutting-edge technology solutions.. Key Responsibilities: Utilize Blender to create high-quality 3D hard surface vehicle game assets, ensuring accurate geometries and topologies; from pre-supplied sourced images & own research.Adhere to specified requirements and guidelines for all assets, meeting the diverse needs of stakeholders within our cohort network.Manage asset specifications, including file sizes, formats, and poly counts, to contribute to the success of our IT Special Projects Team.Package and organize assets efficiently, following specified file structure and compression guidelines.Provide the Blender source file (.blend) for each asset, contributing to the collaborative ecosystem at Bigwing Venturetech.Confirm the version of Blender used for asset creation, maintaining compatibility with our technology.Export assets to various formats, such as .DXF, .OBJ, and .FBX, aligning with the diverse range of projects we undertake.Maintain low-poly standards (<65K tris) while preserving visual quality, contributing to the performance optimization of our applications.Include all necessary textures, materials, UV maps, etc., in the delivery of assets, ensuring a comprehensive and polished final product.Develop and implement texture painting techniques within Blender to enhance the visual appeal of 3D hard surface vehicle game assets, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and creative flair. Qualifications: Ideally a minimum of 1 year of experience using Blender for 3D modelling and simulation.Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in hard surface vehicle game assets.Proficiency in optimizing assets for performance and adherence to technical specifications. Duration and Commitment: This is an internship/freelance contract position requiring a commitment of at least 20 (min) hours per week, with a minimum duration of 3 months.
