About the Project

We are developing Master of Realms, a next-gen 3D map-making application for tabletop RPGs. Our goal is to revolutionize digital and physical world-building, seamlessly integrating VTT tools and 3D printing.

What You’ll Work On

Materials & LookDev – Create optimized shaders, procedural textures, and high-quality materials. Lighting & FX – Implement realistic & stylized lighting, post-processing, and Niagara-based VFX. Optimization – Improve performance via LODs, instancing, and occlusion culling while debugging rendering issues. Procedural Tools – Develop tools using Blueprint, Python, or Houdini to assist world-building. Pipeline & Collaboration – Work alongside artists & engineers to enhance workflows. Bonus – Experience with RTS games, procedural generation, or grid-based rendering is a plus!

What We’re Looking For

βœ” Expertise in Unreal Engine (Materials, Niagara, Lumen, Mega Light, UMG, Blueprints, Shader Dev). βœ” PBR workflows & procedural texturing experience. βœ” Optimization skills using Nanite, virtual textures, and occlusion culling. βœ” Performance profiling knowledge (GPU/CPU bottlenecks, memory optimization). βœ” Strong VFX pipeline experience (Niagara, particle effects, environmental FX). βœ” Procedural world-building expertise (Blueprints, Python, Houdini). βœ” RTS, Strategy, or Open-World game development experience is a plus!
