3D Art and Animation together accounted for nearly half of all postings. Technical Artist demand was notably high at 88 roles, many requiring Houdini or Unreal Engine 5. Concept Art listings were lower than expected, reflecting a broader industry shift toward execution-heavy roles over development-stage work.

Animation and VFX studios (Scanline VFX, DreamWorks Animation, Blue Zoo, Soul Atlas, DNEG) collectively posted more roles than most individual AAA game studios. The pipeline between animation production and game art continues to blur at the hiring level.

Only 7% of listings included salary data in March 2026. Salary transparency is highest in the United States and Canada. European listings rarely include compensation figures. These ranges reflect available US data only.

Week 1 (Mar 1-7) saw the highest volume at 262 jobs, likely reflecting hiring cycles that open at the start of Q1. Volume settled to a consistent 182 to 194 jobs per week through the middle of the month before tapering in the final partial week.
