Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and motivated Associate Animation Artist to join our creative team. The role requires a strong foundation in animation techniques, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for storytelling through animation.

Key Responsibilities

Create high-quality animations for projects under the guidance of senior animators. Work on a range of animation styles, including 2D and 3D animation, character animation, environmental animation, and motion graphics. Assist in storyboarding, animatics, and visual planning processes. Collaborate with the design, modeling, and rigging teams to ensure seamless integration of animated assets into final productions. Incorporate feedback from directors and senior team members to refine animations and ensure they meet the project’s creative and technical standards. Maintain consistency with the project’s style, design guidelines, and overall visual direction. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and project milestones. Stay updated on the latest animation techniques, software, and trends. Contribute to brainstorming sessions, offering creative input and suggestions to enhance animations and storytelling.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related fields. Proficiency in animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom, Blender, Autodesk Maya, etc.). Understanding of animation principles, such as timing, movement, and weight. Strong portfolio showcasing animation skills, including both 2D and 3D work. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative team environment. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other departments and take direction effectively. A passion for animation and storytelling, with attention to detail and creativity. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in animation production. Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine). Familiarity with rigging and character setup. Experience with motion capture data cleaning and implementation. Knowledge of basic scripting (Python, Shell, MEL, etc.) is a plus. Experience with VR/AR animation or interactive media is a bonus.
