Concept Art Internships FAQ

How do I find concept art internships?
ArtBlast checks hundreds of studio career pages and job boards every day and flags every listing by level, so internships and trainee roles are easy to spot. Subscribe to get new concept art internships in your inbox each morning with direct apply links.
Are concept art internships paid?
Many studio internships are paid, especially in the US, but pay and rules vary by studio and country. ArtBlast labels unpaid and volunteer roles clearly and keeps them out of the default job feed and the daily email.
When do studios post summer concept art internships?
Large studios usually open summer internship applications between September and February, while smaller studios bring in interns all year. Popular programs close early, so checking new listings daily makes a real difference.
Do I need a portfolio for a concept art internship?
Yes. A focused portfolio matters more than grades. Show three to five finished pieces in the discipline you want to work in, include breakdowns of your process, and leave out anything that is not your best work.
Can I apply for concept art internships after graduating?
It depends on the program. Some internships require current enrollment, while others accept recent graduates, often within a year of finishing. Always read the eligibility notes, and look at junior and trainee roles as well.
