Velanox Studio is a growing creative and VFX studio driven by a team of passionate artists, specializing in storytelling and cutting-edge visual effects. Our work spans commercials, music videos, social media content, animation, episodic, featured films, and other forms of creative collaborations, and we are guided by the belief that bold ideas and teamwork create visuals that truly connect with audiences.
Who Are We Looking For
You are eager to learn and excited about building FX skills in a real production pipeline. You thrive on solving creative and technical challenges, enjoy collaborating with other artists, and want to create visuals that leave a lasting impact.
Responsibilities
Assist in creating stylized and realistic FX for creative projects
Support the compositing and 3D teams by preparing FX elements and simulations
Learn how to implement FX assets into production shots
Participate in team reviews and apply feedback to improve work quality
Collaborate with mentors and peers to meet project deadlines
Required Qualifications
Familiarity with Houdini is a must
Familiarity with other 3D software, such as Maya, Cinema4D, or Blender, is a plus
Basic understanding of dynamics, particles, fluids, or simulations
Strong willingness to learn and ability to take feedback constructively
Good communication and organizational skills
Relevant Experience
Previous school or personal FX projects, coursework, or reels (portfolio links encouraged)
Passion for visual effects, storytelling, and artistic problem-solving
Interest in learning industry workflows, naming conventions, and shot organization
Program Details
Type: Unpaid Internship (for educational/training purposes only)
Duration: Flexible, typically 8–10 weeks (part-time or full-time)
Mentorship: Direct feedback from working VFX professionals
Outcome: Build portfolio-ready work, gain credits, and understand how a studio pipeline functions
