Job Title Gameplay Animator Requisition ID R026905 Job Description Gameplay Animator Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Gameplay Animator to support the development of an exciting new IP. As a member of the project, you’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration. You’ll help us by… Applying strong animation fundamentals, gameplay principles, and motion capture data to create high-quality gameplay animations Demonstrating an understanding of game design mechanics, 3Cs (character, camera, controls), AI behaviour, narrative context, camera animation, and facial animation Collaborating with cross-functional partners to achieve shared creative goals Giving and receiving feedback constructively to help deliver polished, high-quality gameplay experiences Troubleshooting tools and contribute with ideas to improve workflows and team effectiveness You’re awesome because you have… Demonstrated experience contributing to a shipped game title Experience working in game engines and contributing to animation systems Familiarity with motion capture pipelines, including editing and cleanup Strong animation fundamentals in human and creature movement (timing, weight, balance) The ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies Proficiency in Maya Strong problem-solving skills, both technical and collaborative Interest in continuing to develop animation craft and deepen understanding of character movement Not sure you meet all the qualifications?
