Knight Armor 3D Modeler

🏢 Source: Upwork
💰 Budget: 600$

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled 3D artist (individual or studio) to create a complete set of high-quality knight armors inspired by the Hero Armors from the classic MMORPG Helbreath (1999), based on the reference image provided.

Project Details

The models will be used in a modern UE5 remake project and must be fully rigged to the UE5 Mannequin skeleton (Manny/Quinn), ready for integration into Unreal Engine 5.

Scope of Work: Armor Design

Style inspired by the attached reference (Hero Armor from Helbreath). Must include both Male and Female versions. Should maintain the essence of the original design but can be slightly modernized for higher detail and better topology for current-gen visuals.

Scope of Work: Armor Parts Breakdown

Helm (Headpiece), Armor (Chest + Shoulders combined), Legs (Leggings), Feet (Boots), Back (Cloak/Cape)

Technical Requirements

Rigged to UE5 Manny/Quinn skeleton, fully compatible. PBR textures (Albedo, Normal, Roughness, Metallic, optionally AO). Optimized for real-time use (clean topology, proper UV unwrap, LODs if possible). High and low poly modeling (baked textures). Delivered in FBX format with all textures.

Deliverables

FBX models of each armor piece. Separate meshes per part (helm, armor, legs, feet, back). Texture maps (up to 4K resolution). Proper rigging compatible with Unreal Engine 5 mannequin skeleton. Source files (optional but preferred: Blender, Maya, or equivalent). Preview renders of each armor set (front, side, back).

Reference Material

Reference image attached (Hero Armor from Helbreath). Additional references may be provided upon project start if needed.

Budget & Timeline

Budget: Please provide your quote based on the scope. Timeline: Looking to have the models completed within 4 to 6 weeks from project start.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with game-ready assets for Unreal Engine. Understanding of rigging to UE5 mannequin skeleton. Knowledge of game optimization techniques (polycount, LODs, UV packing). Familiarity with medieval/fantasy armor designs is a plus.
