Your Role

We’re looking for a Point of Interest Artist to create memorable and narratively rich locations that spark curiosity and invite exploration. From imposing landmarks to mysterious ruins and thriving settlements, you’ll design and build points of interest that not only look stunning but also enhance gameplay and storytelling in Solid River.

Responsibilities

Design and build unique landmarks, ruins, and settlements that enrich the world’s visual and narrative identity Incorporate lore and storytelling elements into architecture, layouts, and environmental details Collaborate with Level Designers to ensure POIs are engaging and support diverse gameplay scenarios Ensure style, materials, and construction details align with the broader art direction and biomes Use Unreal Engine 5 and industry-standard 3D tools to create optimized, high-quality assets

Requirements

3+ years of professional experience as an Environment Artist, Level Artist, or similar role, ideally on AAA titles Strong portfolio showcasing memorable, narrative-driven locations and structures Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 and tools such as Blender, Maya, or ZBrush Strong understanding of architecture, layout design, and environmental storytelling Ability to balance artistic vision with gameplay and performance requirements Fluent in English; German is a plus Onsite position in Munich

Nice to have

Background in historical or fantasy architecture design Experience with modular building systems Familiarity with procedural tools like Houdini or World Machine Knowledge of open-world or survival game design principles
