About Debbie Bridge
Debbie Bridge is a neurodivergent performance artist with hidden disabilities, specialising in comedy cabaret singing focused mainly on the older female experience. Debbie also delivers performance workshops, as well as talks on art and history.
Job Brief
Debbie is seeking an experienced PR & communications professional to lead on brand development and promotion for Debbie’s creative work.
Contract Details
· Contract type: part-time, freelance
· Rate of pay: £32/hour
· Hours: approx. 5 hours/week (flexible)
· Location: Fully remote
· Start date: immediate start
Responsibilities
· Development of visual brand identity and voice for social media platforms and website (www.debbiebridge.com);
· Development of promotional strategy for new tour of existing performance work, including working to generate press coverage and reviews;
· Management of all social media platforms, ensuring consistent generation of engaging content;
· Website development, editing and maintenance;
· Proofreading and copy writing;
Collaboration
This role will work alongside Debbie and a freelance producer/virtual assistant. If you feel your skills extend into this additional role and you would be interested in taking on producing and assistant responsibilities in addition to the above, please make this clear in your application.
Essential Skills/Experience
· Min. 2 years’ experience working as an independent marketeer/communications professional;
· Experience with promotion of small-scale theatre/music/cabaret tours;
· Strong graphic design skills;
· Excellent attention to detail;
· Excellent time management;
· High standard of written communication, with excellent proofreading skills;
· Clear and patient verbal communication;
· Collaborative approach to working;
· Understanding of neurodiversity;
· Proficiency with key software/platforms – Meta, X, BlueSky, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, WordPress, Google workspace, Asana.
Desirable Skills/Experience
· Existing press/reviewer contacts within small-scale theatre/music/cabaret sector;
· Knowledge of cabaret circuit;
· Availability for occasional in-person events (in London)
· Knowledge of 17 Hats CRM
