The game is based on the comic book hero Blade and will feature an original story with the studio’s signature immersive gameplay and world-class narrative. ResponsibilitiesCharacter Development and Integration: Create and integrate characters into our game engine, ensuring they meet the technical and artistic constraints of the projectAdvanced Rigging and Skinning: Develop complex rigs for characters, creatures, and animated objects, ensuring realistic and smooth deformationInterdisciplinary Collaboration: Work under the responsibility of the Lead Tech Anim/Chara in close collaboration with animators, character modelers, programmers, and other departments to ensure harmonious integration of characters and their accessoriesPerformance Optimization: Monitor character performance in the game engine and make necessary adjustments to optimize their functionalityTool Development: Create and maintain tools to improve the rigging and animation workflow, based on the specific needs of the projectPhysical Simulations Configuration: Configure ragdolls and cloth simulations for characters and animated objectsTechnical Support: Assist animators in resolving technical issues they encounter and provide suitable solutionsTechnological Watch: Stay informed about the latest technological advancements and share this knowledge with the team to continuously improve production processes Required skillsProficiency in Maya and PythonAdvanced skills in rigging and deformation (Body/Facial)Good oral and written communication skills in both French and EnglishAbility to write clear and detailed documentation for tools put into productionTeam spirit, autonomy, and organizationAbility to balance aesthetics, technical quality, and ergonomicsKnowledge of MotionBuilder, Houdini, and Blender is a plus We embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do – from recruiting for our studios, publishing and operations to fostering safe and respectful workplaces that encourage collaboration.
