Welcome to the UI Team

At GOALS, UI is more than just a layer between player and gameplay — it’s part of the game’s heartbeat. Our UI team crafts the visual language that players interact with every single match, from seamless menus to responsive HUDs. As a Senior Technical UI Artist, you’ll help bridge art and engineering, working hands-on with shaders, materials, and modular systems to create immersive, performant UI that feels as good as it looks. You’ll be part of a tight, cross-functional team where initiative is encouraged, collaboration is constant, and great ideas shape the future of football gaming.

Role Responsibilities

At GOALS, you will… Collaborate with UX Designers, UI Artists, and Engineers to bring the GOALS UI vision to life. Own the technical implementation of UI systems in Unreal Engine 5, with a focus on scalability and performance. Develop dynamic HUDs, menus, and in-world widgets that are tightly integrated with the game experience. Design and implement reusable UI components, materials, and animations using UMG, Blueprint, and custom shaders. Support the team with tools and automation, and contribute to pipeline improvements where needed.

Ideal Qualifications

Ideally you have… 5+ years of experience implementing UI in games, with at least one shipped title. Expertise in visual design, motion graphics, and UI aesthetics. Strong hands-on experience in Unreal Engine, especially with UMG, Blueprint, and data-driven UI systems. A solid understanding of performance optimization techniques for game UI. Deep experience in building and managing shaders and materials specifically tailored for UI. Familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages — whether for tool development, automation, or pipeline support.
