Job Description
The Texture Artist creates textures on various objects or surfaces, ensuring to meet the high quality standards of Rodeo FX.
Main Responsibilities
Create textures from scratch and/or from sampled photos, scanned references or any artwork necessary to create new objects or to match the surfaces of existing live action footage ;Work closely with the CG and Asset Supervisors to find creative and technical solutions and approaches that meet project requirements and deadlines;May participate in the development of tools and techniques for the department;Perform quality control on shots before they are submitted for review/approval, ensuring all technical and creative standards are met, and promptly apply notes received;Keep Production and the project team informed of the status of work, issues to be resolved, ramifications of problems encountered and recommend potential solutions;Ensure deadlines are met, advising the project team promptly if delays could be expected.
Qualifications
Experience in a similar position, within the VFX industry;Knowledge of Maya, Mari, Substance Painter and Designer;Basic knowledge of Houdini, Nuke and the shading process using Solaris;Knowledge of colour management;Excellent sense of prioritization and respect of deadlines.
Additional Information
2-months renewable CDDU (fixed-term contract).On-site position at our studio, located 5 minutes from Gare de l’Est.
