Senior VFX Artist Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior VFX Artist who is eager for their next exciting challenge to join a passionate and growing VFX team. Work on an exciting new large-scale project, crafted by a seasoned team renowned for developing exceptional shooters. The VFX team is responsible for all visual effects developed in Rebellion’s games, including particle effects, screen post effects, material effects, mesh destruction effects, and UI effects, developed in Rebellion’s proprietary engine “Asura”.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone eager to embark on their path toward becoming a Lead VFX Artist! Responsibilities include driving the creation of high-quality real-time visual effects, taking ownership of complex effects work from concept to final implementation, collaborating across disciplines, mentoring team members, anticipating technical challenges, and contributing to documentation and resource management.

Location and Flexibility

This exciting opportunity can be based out of any of our studios in Oxford or Warwick, offering flexibility, collaboration, and the chance to work with a world-class team. We provide a relocation package, including moving assistance and temporary accommodation. We encourage working from our Oxford headquarters but are open to hybrid options based on individual needs.

Requirements

Proven professional experience in real-time VFX, with a portfolio showing exceptional timing, clarity, artistry, and technical execution. Proficiency with Blender, Photoshop, Substance, and After Effects. Strong experience with simulation tools like Houdini and Embergen. Ability to transform abstract concepts into polished effects, collaborate effectively, mentor artists, and manage technical challenges.
