A writer is seeking a talented storyboard artist to collaborate on a sci-fi/horror short film currently in development. The script is 43 pages, and the project requires visually planning key scenes and sequences to ensure the story and tone are effectively communicated for production. This is a remote, creative collaboration on a personal project, offering the opportunity to help shape the visual narrative of an original film concept. Responsibilities Translate script pages into clear, cinematic storyboards for key scenes and sequences Collaborate closely with the writer to interpret the vision and tone of the film Develop visual storytelling solutions that enhance pacing, suspense, and atmosphere Revise and refine storyboards based on feedback to achieve the desired narrative clarity Deliver digital storyboard panels in a format suitable for pre-production planning Communicate progress and updates regularly throughout the project Skills And Requirements Demonstrated experience in storyboarding for film, animation, or related media (portfolio required) Strong drawing and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to convey mood and action Familiarity with sci-fi and horror genres, understanding of cinematic language and shot composition Proficiency with digital illustration tools (e.g., Photoshop, Storyboard Pro, or similar) Ability to work independently and meet agreed-upon deadlines Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration Open to feedback and iterative creative process Availability to start promptly and commit to the project timeline About Twine Twine is a leading freelance marketplace connecting top freelancers, consultants, and contractors with companies needing creative and tech expertise.
