To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Tech Artist | Unity Developer (f/m/x) who bridges design and technology and delivers high-quality, performant immersive VR environments. Tasks As a Tech Artist, you are the technical counterpart to our design team, working closely in pairing on VR environments. You develop and prototype visual effects, shaders, materials and lighting setups, validate technical feasibility early on and optimize for real-world VR performance. Your goal: Outstanding visual quality that runs reliably on real hardware. Your responsibilities Translating design concepts into technically feasible real-time setups (Unity) Building, maintaining and optimizing shaders, materials, lighting setups and VFX Performance optimization for VR/XR (frame budgets, platform limits, hardware constraints) Close collaboration with Design, Product and Engineering on technical decision-making Developing and improving pipelines, workflows and technical standards Prototyping new visual features, interactions and rendering approaches Early testing of design decisions on actual VR hardware Requirements Experience Several years of experience as a Tech Artist or in a similar role Strong hands-on experience with real-time engines, especially Unity Experience in VR/XR projects or a solid understanding of VR technical constraints Experience working in interdisciplinary teams (Design, Art, Engineering) Knowledge Strong understanding of real-time rendering, shader fundamentals, lighting and materials Knowledge of performance budgets, optimization strategies and platform limitations Understanding of UX/UI requirements in immersive environments Skills Analytical mindset: breaking down problems, identifying root causes and building solutions Ability to bridge creative and technical perspectives Clean, pragmatic and solution-oriented working style Clear communication, including pushing back on ideas that are technically impractical Hands-on mentality: building, testing, iterating and improving continuously Languages & travel Fluent in German and English Willingness to travel approx. 50% Benefits Creative impact: Actively shape the visual quality of immersive live experiences Cutting-edge technology: Work with the latest VR hardware and streaming solutions Close collaboration: Direct interaction with Design, Product and Engineering Room for innovation: Prototyping and experimentation are part of the job Dynamic environment: Fast growth, flat hierarchies and an open team culture Perspective: Be part of a team setting new standards for immersive experiences in sports, music and entertainment Join L1VE and help create immersive experiences that captivate audiences worldwide.
