Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Game VFX Artist who specializes in Unreal Engine, Niagara, and Real-Time VFX to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in crafting mesmerizing visual effects that bring magic, battles, and mythological phenomena to life in our game world.
Key Responsibilities
Design, create, and implement high-quality real-time VFX (magic spells, environmental effects, combat VFX, UI effects, etc.) using Unreal Engine and Niagara. Collaborate closely with Game Designers, 3D Artists, Animators, and Developers to ensure VFX enhances gameplay, storytelling, and world immersion. Conceptualize VFX ideas based on mythological elements — ancient weapons, supernatural beings, elemental magic, and divine phenomena. Optimize VFX assets to maintain high performance across platforms without compromising visual quality. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools in real-time VFX and bring fresh, innovative techniques to the team. Contribute creatively during brainstorming sessions to help define the visual language of our mythological universe.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as a VFX Artist in the gaming industry (experience with RPGs is a big plus!). Expertise in Unreal Engine 5 (or UE4) and the Niagara particle system. Strong understanding of real-time VFX principles (timing, color, composition, physics behavior). Experience with shader creation and material editor in Unreal Engine. Good eye for style and aesthetics — able to adapt to the artistic vision inspired by Indian mythology. Familiarity with optimization techniques for real-time VFX. Knowledge of additional tools like Houdini, After Effects, Photoshop, or Substance Designer is a bonus. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a remote team environment. Passion for mythology, storytelling, and immersive world-building.
