As a Technical Artist, you will collaborate with designers, artists and developers to create efficient, high-quality 3D visual content and effects for mobile OS applications including user interfaces and user experience in all Huawei products.

Responsibilities

Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain art production pipelines to streamline workflows for asset creation, integration, and optimization.Tool Creation: Build custom tools for Technical Artist usage when needed (e.g., scripts, plugins) to automate repetitive tasks for artists.Asset Optimization: Optimize 3D models, textures, shaders, and animations to meet performance requirements (e.g., frame rate, memory usage) without sacrificing visual quality.Shader Development: Create and implement shaders (e.g., in GLSL, or with Shader Graphs) to achieve desired visual effects.Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve technical issues related to graphical assets, rendering performance and visual quality.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in relevant 3D Artist role with solid understanding of art and animation pipelinesExperience on Physically Based Materials usage (PBR) and understanding of Mobile GPU related restrictions in real-time renderingExperience in 3D modelling with Blender, Maya or similar toolsExperience with shader programming and/or Shader GraphFamiliarity with artistic and technical aspects of asset creation pipeline, animation and renderingUnderstanding of modeling, texturing, rigging, shader writing, lighting, composition, visual effectsUnderstanding of Khronos gITF 3D format and the whole pipeline from modeling to real-time 3D graphics engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal or Godot)High attention to detailsScripting and programming skills (e.g., C++) are considered a plus

Contract period and starting date: The position is a full-time/long-term contractor position and the contract will be signed with our supplier. We expect the role to start as soon as possible.
