As an Environment Artist, you’ll shape the worlds that bring our stories to life – in a creative environment with a strong emphasis on innovation and craftsmanship.

We are looking for an Unreal Engine Environment Artist (all genders) Virtual Production Specialist in Munich (hybrid).

What you can expect:

Full responsibility for designing and building immersive environments and landscapes in Unreal Engine Create high- and low-poly models, detailed materials, and realistic textures for virtual scenes Optimize assets for performance, including LODs, lightmaps, and polygon efficiency Collaborate closely with Technical Artists to ensure smooth integration and rendering within Unreal Work exclusively on environment and scene-building—no direct client contact Implement feedback from directors and leads to align with artistic and technical goals Stay current with industry tools, trends, and workflows to continuously enhance your craft

What we expect from you:

3+ years of professional experience as an Environment Artist, with a strong reel/portfolio Deep understanding of 3D asset workflows: modeling, UVs, texturing, optimization, and material setup Solid experience with Unreal Engine’s environment systems, rendering pipeline, and performance best practices Proficiency with 3D software such as Blender, Maya, or 3DS Max Skilled in Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop, and similar tools for texture and material creation Passion for creating realistic, visually stunning environments with a high level of detail Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely within a multidisciplinary team Self-driven, organized, and eager to push creative and technical boundaries

Preferred qualifications but not necessary:

Familiarity with Procedural Content Creation ( PCG ) in Unreal Engine is a plus Knowledge of Houdini for procedural asset generation and optimizing asset workflows is a plus.
